ADJUSTING THE VOLUME RADIO MODE

Automatic sound

This feature automatically adjusts the volume of the car sound system to suit the speed at which the vehicle is trav- elling. In order for this to work, your car sound system must be connected as described in the installation instruc- tions.

You can adjust the automatic volume boost feature in six steps from (0 to 5).

➮Press the MENU¥OK button 7.

➮Press the or button 6 repeatedly until ÒVOLUME MENUÓ appears on the display.

➮Press the MENU¥OK button 7 to display the volume menu.

➮Press the or button 6 repeatedly until ÒAUTO SOUNDÓ appears on the display.

➮Set the volume adjustment level

using the buttons 6.

When you have finished making your changes,

➮press the MENU¥OK button 7 and then the DIS¥ESC button 5 to exit the menu.

Note:

The optimum setting for the speed-dependent volume adjust- ment feature depends on how noise levels develop in your partic- ular vehicle. You will need to test various settings in order to find out which is best suited to your vehi- cle.

Radio mode

This device is equipped with an RDS radio receiver. Many of the receivable FM stations broadcast a signal that not only carries the programme but also additional information such as the sta- tion name and programme type (PTY). The station name appears on the dis- play as soon as the tuner receives it.

Adjusting the tuner

To ensure proper functioning of the tuner, the device must be set for the region in which you are located. You can select among USA, South Ameri- ca (S-America), Asia (ASIA), Europe (EUROPE) and Thailand. The device is factory-set to the region in which it was delivered. If you experience prob- lems with your radio reception, please check this setting.

These operating instructions apply to the regional setting for USA, South America, Asia and Thailand.

➮Switch off the device by pressing button 1.

➮Press the buttons 3 and 6 9and hold them pressed.

➮Press and hold the button 1until the display shows TUNER AREA.

The currently set region is shown on the upper display line.

➮To select the region, press the or button 6.

➮Press the MENU¥OK button 7 to exit the menu and save the setting.
