MP3/WMA MODE

Switching to MP3 mode

MP3 mode is activated in the same way as normal CD mode. For further information, please read the section entitled ÒSwitching to CD modeÓ in the ÒCD modeÓ chapter.

If you connected an external display, the following information is displayed after the CD is read and the MP3/WMA playback has started:

Number of the track and number of tracks in the directory.

Bit rate of the file.

Elapsed playing time and total playing time of the track.

Name of the directory.

In the left column, the list of tracks in the directory.

In the right column, MP3 informa- tion from the ID tags (only if avail- able on the DVD/CD).

Setting the display (internal display)

Configuring the default display

You can display various types of infor- mation on the current track:

1.ÒNORMAL MODEÓ:

First line: Type of file (MP3 or WMA), number of track and play- ing time.

Second line: Track name

2.ÒINFO MODEÓ:

First line: Track name.

Second line: MP3-ID-TAG (if avail- able and activated, see ÒSelecting MP3 infoÓ)

Note:

The system can display MP3-ID tags (version 1) if they have been saved with the MP3 files (for fur- ther information, please read the instructions that came with your PCÕs MP3 software or burner soft- ware).

3.ÒMP3 BROWSE MODEÓ:

First line: Name of current track

Second line: Name of next track.

4.ÒCLOCK MODEÓ:

First line: Type of file (MP3 or WMA), number of track and play- ing time.

Second line: MP3 info and time.

To switch between the different display options,

press the DIS¥ESC button 5.

Selecting the directory on the device

For convenient navigation in the data structure of the CD, you can display the current and the following directory on the two lines of the display. The di- rectories are displayed with the names that you created when burning the CD. Whilst the directories are being dis- played, you can use the arrow buttons to display and select all the available directories.

During the MP3 playback, press the or button 6.

The browse mode is automatically started, the current track is displayed on the first line of the display and the next track is displayed on the second line.
