The adjustable feet are attached to the underside of the speaker via conical threaded bosses that can be fitted in either a protruding or in-set orientation to provide height adjustment, see illustrations above. The height adjustment enables the speaker to be installed with up to 8º downward or upward tilt if required by fitting the bosses the opposite way round front and rear. If you do not intend to tilt the speakers fit all the bosses in-set.

Using the TORX driver supplied in the accessory kit, unscrew and remove the four roller-glides as illustrated above. Retain the roller-glides for use should the speaker be moved and re-installed in the future. Once the roller-glides have been removed the supplied adjustable feet may be fitted in their place.

The adjustable feet incorporate a floor spike at one end and a rubber pad at the other end and can be installed with either towards the floor. The spikes are designed to pierce carpet and rest on the floor beneath, both to protect the carpet from indentation and to provide the speaker with a solid foundation. We recommend for optimum performance that the spikes are used but if the nature of the floor precludes their use they can be reversed to present rubber pads to the floor.

Note: Spike feet can still be used on delicate non- carpeted floors by standing the spikes on coins.

Screw the feet into the bosses, with the spikes or the rubber pads exposed as desired, leaving just enough thread to fit the locking rings. Fit, but do not tighten, the locking rings.

With the adjustable feet fitted the speaker can be carefully returned upright. Take care not to allow the entire weight of the speaker to rest at an angle on one or two feet as it is turned. Also take care that careless handling of the speaker with spikes fitted does not cause injury.

Once the speaker is upright, adjust the feet using the tommy-bar supplied to give the amount of tilt required and to take up any rocking as illustrated above. Finally, tighten the locking ring against the boss, again using the tommy-bar as illustrated above.
