450 g (1 lb) de pommes vertes (environ 4)

1 bâton de cannelle

2 c. à soupe de cassonade Pincée de muscade moulue 1 c. à soupe de beurre

2 feuilles de pâte feuilletée surgelée, décongelée Sucre à la cannelle pour servir

MARCHE À SUIVRE

1.Dans une casserole, mettre les pommes, le bâton de cannelle et assez d'eau pour recouvrir à moitié. Cuire à feu moyen, en remuant à l'occation, 8–10 min

ou jusqu'à ce que les pommes soient ramollies et l'eau évaporée.

2.Incorporer le sucre, la muscade et le beurre et poursuivre la cuisson jusqu'à consistance homogène. Transférer dans un bol et laisser refroidir au réfrigérateur.

3.Couper chaque feuille de pâte en 4 carrés et déposer 1 c. à soupe rase du mélange de pommes sur la moitié du carré. Badigeonner les bords avec l'eau et replier pour former en rectangle.

4.Froncer les bords avec une fourchette pour bien sceller.

5.Remplir la friteuse de 4 litres d'huile. Préchauffer à 190°C/375°F et faire frire les chaussons aux pommes, deux à la fois, durant 2½ min en les tournant à mi-cuisson.

6.Égoutter sur du papier essuie-tout et saupoudrer le sucre à la cannelle. Répéter avec le reste des chaussons, en s'assurant de réchauffer l'huile entre chaque addition.

Servir chaud avec de la crème glacée à la vanille.
