Replacing the drum unit

Follow thes e steps to rep lace the drum uni t. You can al so view the drum unit replacement method in the
instructional video on the suppl ied CD-ROM:

Press the cover release button and then open the front cover of the printer.

Pull out the drum unit assembly.

Caution
■We recommend that you place the drum unit ass embly on a piece of disposable paper or clo th
in case you accident ally spill or scatter toner.
■To prevent damage to the printer from stati c electricity, do not touch the electrodes shown in
Figure 5-17.
