Service ca ll indications

If there i s an error that cannot be cleared by th e user, the prin ter will show that a service call is needed
by lighting up all the LEDs as shown in Figure 3-12.

If you see the service call indication above, follow the steps below:

Take out the DIMM (Dual Inline Memory Module) from your printer, if you have a DIMM installed.

Turn off the power swit ch, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on and try to pri nt again.
If you cannot clear the error and see the same service call indication after turning the printer back on,
call your deale r or a Brother authorized ser vice representative.
When you press the Go and the Job Cancel buttons together, the LEDs will light up with one of the
combinations shown in Table 1. See Table 1: LED indications while pressing Go and Job Cancel on page
3-6 to identif y the error.
For example, the LED indication below shows a fixing unit failure.
