BT Callsign (For U.K. Only)

This machine feature lets yo u use the BT Callsign subscr iber service
which allows you to have at leas t two separate telephone numbers
on one phone line. E ach phone number has it s own distinctive
ringing pattern, so you know which phone number is ringing. This is
one way you can have a separate phone number for your machine.
Your machine has a BT Callsign compatible distinctive ringing
function, allowing you to dedicate a second phone number (on the
same phone line) just for receiving faxes.
To enable the machine to work with BT Callsign
(Only with your external phone)

Press Menu/Set, 2, 0, 2.
The screen displays the current setting of this feature.

Press or to select On (or Off).

Press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
You can switch BT callsign off temporarily, then turn it back on.
When you get a new fax number, make sure you reset this
function.
When you set the BT Callsign feature to ON, the receive mode
is set to Manual automatically . You can not chan ge the receive
mode to the other mode while the BT Callsign is set to on.
If you turn off the BT Callsign, receive mode stays Manual. You
need to set receive mode again.
