Polled Transmit is when you set up your

machine to wait with a document so another

fax machine can call and retrieve it.

Setup for polled transmit 11

aMake sure you are in Fax mode .

bLoad your document.

cPress Menu, 2, 2, 6.

dPress a or b to choose Standard.

Press OK.

eDo one of the following:

Press 1 to leave the documents

waiting in the ADF.

If you want to use the ADF before

your machine is polled, you must

cancel the job.

Press 2 to scan the document into

the memory.

fThe LCD shows:

gPress 2 and press MonoStart.

Note

Once a document has been stored in

memory for Polling Tra nsmit, it can be

sent and received more than once.

Setup for polled transmit with

secure code 11

Secure Polling restricts who can ret rieve the

documents you set up to be polled.

Secure Polling only work s with Brother fax

machines. If another person wants to retrieve

a fax from your machine they will have to

enter the secure code.

aMake sure you are in Fax mode .

bLoad your document.

cPress Menu, 2, 2, 6.

dPress a or b to choose Secure.

Press OK.

eEnter a four-digit number.

Press OK.
