Menu Setting Difficulty

Difficulty Suggestions

The machine beeps when you try to

access the Setup Receive menu. If the Fax key is not illuminated, pre ss it to turn on Fax mode. The Setup

Receive setting is av ailable only when t he machine is in Fa x mode.

Copying Difficulty

Cannot make a copy Make sure that the Copy key is illuminated. (See Entering Copy

modeon page 62.)

Make sure the panel cove r is completely close d.

Vertical streaks appear on copies If you see vertical streaks on copies, clean the scanner. (See Cleaning the

scanneron page 97.)

Scanning Difficulty

Cannot scan Make sure the panel cover is co mpletely closed.

TWAIN/WIA errors appear while

scanning.

Make sure the Brothe r TWAIN/WIA driver i s chosen as the p rimary source. In

PaperPort®SEwith OCR, click File , Scan and choose the Bro ther TWAIN/WIA

driver.

Software Difficulty

Cannot install software or print R un the RepairMF L-Pro Suite program on the CD-ROM. This program will repair

and reinstall the software.

‘Device Busy’ Make sure the machine is not showing an error message on the LCD.
