Remote Setup 5
The Remote Setup progra m lets you configure many mac hine settings from a Windows® app lication. When
you start this application, the settin gs on your machine will be downloaded automat ic all y to your PC and
displayed on your PC screen. If you change the settings, you can upload them directly to the machine.
Click the Start button, All Programs, Brother, MFC-XXXX, and Remote Setup.
Note
• I f yo u a re using the MFC-5460CN or MFC-586 0C N w it h a network connection, you will be prompted to
enter a password.
The default password is "access".
• F o r other models or if you are connected using U SB , no password is required by default.
OK
Lets you start uploading data to the machine and exit the Remote Setup application. If an error message
is displayed, enter the correct data again and then click OK.
Cancel
Lets you exit the Remote Setup application without uploading data to the machine.
Apply
Lets you upload data to the machine without exiting the Remote Setup application.
