■Making a Buttonhole on Stretch Fabrics Realización de un ojal en tejidos elásticos When sewing buttonholes on stretch fabric, the buttonhole stitching is sewn over a gimp thread.

Para coser ojales en un tejido elástico se utiliza hilo galón.

1Using tailor’s chalk, mark the position of the buttonhole on the fabric, and then attach the buttonhole foot and set the pattern selection dial to “F”.

2Hook the gimp thread onto the back end of the buttonhole foot, bring the two gimp thread ends to the front of the foot, insert them into the grooves, and then temporarily tie them there.

3Set the stitch width to match the diameter of the gimp thread.
