Replacing the Toner Cartridge

This section describes how to remove the used toner cartridge and replace it with

a new one.

When the message <TONERLEVEL LOW> or <TONER EMPTY> appears in the

LCD, replace the toner cartridge.

Do not throw the toner cartridge into open flames,as this may cause the toner

inside the toner cartridge to ignite and result in burns or a fire.

When you remove the toner cartridge from the machine or the sealing tape

from the toner cartridge, handle it carefully.Otherwise, the toner may scatter

and get into your eyes or mouth.In this case, rinse out your eyes or mouth

thoroughly with water immediately and consult a doctor.

There are some areas inside the machine that are subject to high-voltages and high-

temperatures.Take adequate precautions when performing internal inspections to

avoid burns or electrical shock.

When removing the toner cartridge, take care not to allow the toner to come into

contact with your hands or clothing.If they become dirty, wash them immediately

with cold water.Washing with warm water will set the toner and make it impossible

to remove the toner stains.

Image Combination (2 on 1 Copy) The imageRUNNER 1670F/1630 models have an ADF. Press [2 on 1]. Load documents face down in the ADF. Use the numeric keys to set the copy quantity. Press [2 on 1]. Use the numeric keys to set the copy quantity. Place the last page of a document on the platen glass. Press [Start] twice. Place the next page of the document on the platen glass press [Start]. Press [Set] to finish the 2 on 1 copy function. Reserved Copying Reserving the Next Copy Job Press [Stop/Reset] twice while the machine is printing. Place the document to be reserved face down on the platen glass or in the ADF. Set the desired copy features. Confirming the Copy Job You Reserved Press [Stop/Reset] while the machine is printing. Press [4] or [e] to confirm the reservation number, time, and number of documents. Press [Stop/Reset] to return the machine to the Standby mode. Page Two-Sided Copying Load the first page of the document face down in the ADF press [Start] to begin copying. Load the next page of the document in the ADF. Grip the paper drawer handle, and pull it towards you until the paper drawer comes to a stop. Open a package of paper,and remove a stack of paper. Load the paper stack under the paper drawers length guide and width guides . Gently insert the paper drawer as far as it will go.
