OFF: Enables detection of documents up to 17.0" (432 mm) long for auto document size detection (default).

IMPORTANT

Long Document mode can only be used with applications that support it.

Configure the ISIS/TWAIN driver as follows. If the following settings are not configured as shown, proper scanning may not be possible.

Basic Setup Dialog Box (See p. 8-5.)[Page Size]: [Auto-detection]

Orientation Settings Dialog Box (See p. 8-11.)[Document Orientation]: [90 degrees] [Duplex Orientation]: [Calendar type]

Advanced Settings Dialog Box (See p. 8-12.)

[Text Orientation Recognition] check box: Not selected

Processing speed may slow down when scanning while the Long Document mode is set.

When scanning two-sided documents with the Long Document mode set to ON, the documents will be scanned one side at a time, regardless of the single-pass duplex setting.

When using the Long Document mode, if you place a long document askew in the document tray, it will rub against both sides of the feeding path and may damage the document. Make sure to align the document straight when placing it in the document tray.

When using the Long Document mode, jam detection may not work propery and document may be damaged. Be wary of paper jams when using Long Document mode.

When scanning a document that is 17" (432 mm) or more in length, load the document one page at a time and scan.
