Using the Basic Cradle

Serial Connection of Multiple Basic Cradles

You can use optional 6-6 pin Modular Cables (DT-788RSC) to connect up to 16 Basic Cradles in a serial configuration.

This configuration makes it possible to exchange data between multiple Handheld Terminals and a personal computer.

Connections

First connect Basic Cradle RS- 485-1 and then the RS- 485-2 of the Basic Cradle that you want to connect to.

DIP Switch Settings

The following table shows the various settings that are available with the DIP switches located on the back of the Basic Cradle.
