Replacement

The Legend 300E Spot is equipped with a Philips MS R Gold 300/2 l amp. This lamp

uses a socket called FastFit, wh ich allows for fast an d eas y l amp c hanges. F ollow the

procedure below to saf ely change the Legend 300E Spot’ s lamp.

Procedure

1) Turn the fixture off and disconnect it from t he power outlet.

2) Wait at least 15 minut es for the lamp to cool down.

3) Loosen the two screws on the lamp cover (mar ked “A” in the diagr am).

4) Lift and rotate the l amp cover as per the di agram to expose the bas e of the lamp.

5) Rotate the ceramic b ase of the lamp 90º coun terclockwise.

6) Pull the lamp out by holding it from its bas e only.

7) Insert the new lamp and turn it 90º clockwis e.

8) Reverse steps 3 and 4 .

9) Use the adjustment sc rews (marked “B” in t he diagram) to position the lamp in the

center of the reflector t o obtain the best outp ut.

Increasing the

Lamp’s Life

· ALWAYS turn the lamp off by using the DMX controller or the fixture’s contr ol panel.

Then wait at least five m inutes before switchi ng off the fixture. This will keep the

fans running to extract any remaining heat fr om the fixture’s head.

· DO NOT power cycle the f ixture unless it is necessary.

· DO NOT touch the lamp without weari ng gl oves to av oi d leaving grease on the bulb

or on the contacts that c ould reduce the lamp’s life.

· ALWAYS change the lam p when it has reached its recommended lifes pan to avoid

the risk of lamp explosi on.
