The initial and full scale values determine the input span which is used by the PID algorithm, the SMART and the alarm functions.

For TC input with °C readout, S > 300 °C. For TC input with °F readout, S > 550 °F. For RTD input with °C readout, S > 100 °C. For RTD input with °F readout, S > 200 °F.
