Replacing a Plasma Display—Part Number CTS-DISP-65 -GEN2

Removing Audio Components
Caution Take care not to mar or introduce smudges or dirt to the surface of the p rojector screen.
Step 1 Power off the system by completing turning off the following units:
The two left PDUs on the left accessory cabinet
The single right PDU on the right accessory cabinet
The auxiliary control unit on the center display structure
Caution Make sure all system power is turned off before beginning this disassembly.
Step 2 Remove the Projector screen by performing one of the following actions:
If your projector screen is slightly recessed and uses black side trims, complete the following steps:
a. Remove the side trims from the edges of the display.
Be careful not to mar the screen when you perform this step.
b. Use an open-ended wrench to loosen the feet on the bottom of the screen, and lower the screen.
c. After you have created a gap of approximately 1/2 inch (1 centimeter) between the screen and
the display shelf, detach the holes on the top screen from the locating pins on the underside of
the display shelves and remove the screen.
If your projector screen does not have side trims and is flush with the display cabinet, grasp the outer
edges of the screen and pull it up and away from the Proje ctor clips that hold the screen to the
Display shelves.
Step 3 Disconnect the Speaker cables from the Speaker terminals.
Step 4 Loosen the half-turn bolts on either side of the left Speaker board. Slip the Speaker board over the
half-turn bolts and remove it from the work area.
Step 5 If you are replacing the center or right Plasma display, remove the center speaker board by repeating
Step 3 and Step 4.
Step 6 If you are replacing the center Plasma display, proceed to the next section, “Removing the Camera
Cluster”.
Step 7 If you are replacing the right Plasma display, remove the right speaker board by repeating Step 3 and
Step 4.
Step 8 If you are replacing the right Plasma display, skip to the “Removing the Left Door” section on page 12-6.
Step 9 When you complete the procedure, power on the system by completing the steps in the “Powering On
the System” section on page 12-1.
