Installing Hardware Options

This chapter provides basic instructions for installing hardware options in the

Content Engine. These instructions are intended for technicians who are

experienced with setting up Cisco Content Engine hardware.

This chapter contains the following topics:

Removing the Cover and Bezel

Warning

Before working on a system that has an on/off switch, turn OFF the power and

unplug the power cord.

Statement 1

Complete the following steps to remove the Content Engine cover:

Step1 Review the information in the “Safety Warnings” section on page 2-1, and the

“Safety Guidelines” section on page 2-4.

Step2 Power down the Content Engine and all attached devices. Disconnect the power

cord and all external cables.

Step3 Loosen the two captive screws (1) on the rear of the cover. (See Figure 4-1.)
