Upgrading the EM

Step 4 Press Enter. The upgrade main menu is displayed.

Note While all of the major upgrade procedures are available as separate steps in the upgrade menu, it is recommended that you use the one step upgrade automation option (6) for a single EM system.

Step 5 Choose the appropriate upgrade option. For this example, assume you have chosen option number 6 for one step upgrade automation. You are prompted to enter information needed to proceed with the upgrade, including:
•Whether or not to run Cisco EMF backup (not applicable for a client upgrade)
•If Cisco EMF backup is desired, whether the upgrade should continue if the backup fails (not applicable for a client upgrade)
•Location of the Cisco EMF patch
•Performance polling rate option for EM installation
Note An additional option to remove only the EM is available for a multiple EM system.
The following output is an example of the one step upgrade automation prompts:
