DVD Video Player Operations

Basic Operations	Pausing play
	1.	Press the [s] button to pause play.
Loading a disc
		“PAUSE” appears in the display.
Insert a disc into the centre of the insertion slot	2.	To resume disc play, press the [s] button

Notes:

•Never insert foreign objects into the disc insertion slot.

•If the disc is not inserted easily, there may be another disc in the mechanism or the unit may require service.

Loading 8 cm discs

∗No adapter is required to play an 8 cm disc.

∗Insert the 8 cm disc into the centre of the insertion slot.

CAUTION

With the screen open, a driver may not see the disc insertion slot. For your safety, insert a disc with the screen closed.

Watching/Listening to a disc already inserted

1.Press the [FUNC] button to select the DVD mode. Play starts automatically. If no disc is loaded in the unit, “NO DISC” appears in the display.

WARNING

•Videos may be played back with particularly loud sound. Increase the volume gradually from the minimum after the video images are displayed.

•For your safety, the driver should not watch the video or operate the controls while driving. Please note that watching and operating the video while driving are prohibited by law in some countries.

Note:

•For your safety, the VRX935VD has a safety function which turns off the picture when the car is moving, so only the audio can be heard. The picture can only be watched when the car is stopped and the parking break is applied.

Ejecting a disc

1.Press the [Q] button a disc ejects. “EJECT” appears in the display.

∗If a disc (12 cm) is left in the ejected position for 15 seconds, the disc is automatically reloaded. (Auto reload)

∗8 cm discs are not auto reloaded. Be sure to remove it when ejected.

Note:

•If you force a disc into before auto reloading, this can damage the disc.

Show the menu screen

1.Touch the screen to show the menu screen while the main screen is being shown.

∗To return to the main screen from the menu screen, touch the [RTN] key.

KEY PAD operation

1. Press the [KEY PAD] button.

Each time the button is pressed, the KEY PAD changes as follows.

°In DVD video mode

Cross KEY PAD(Å, Î, w, z)

Ten KEY PAD(0 - 9)

Sub KEY PAD

(selection keys such as P.TIME)

KEY PAD OFF

°In video CD mode

Ten KEY PAD(0 - 9)

Cross KEY PAD(Å, Î, w, z)

Sub KEY PAD

(selection keys such as P.TIME)

KEY PAD OFF

Notes:

∗The KEY PAD displayed in the DVD video mode always starts from the “Cross KEY PAD” when the mode is engaged.
