Parental Settings

Video Output

Progressive Scan Video provides the highest picture quality with reduced flickering.

RGB : If you connect the DVB-T HDD/DVD Recorder to an analogue television using the SCART jacks, set Video Output to ‘RGB’.

Interlace or Progressive : If you connect the DVB-T HDD/DVD Recorder to a digital television (DTV) or Monitor using the COMPONENT jacks, set Video Output to ‘Interlace’ or ‘Progressive’.

1Press [SETUP].

2Use [œ/] to select ‘Preferences‘.

3While ‘Preferences‘ is selected, press [] to select ‘Video Output‘.

4Use [œ/] to select the desired Video Output mode.

5Press [SETUP] to exit the menu.

Caution

Once the Progressive Scan setting is entered, an image will only be visible on a Progressive Scan compatible TV or monitor. Press [P.SCAN] to return to Interlace Scan mode.

Rating Level

The Parental Settings feature allows you to prevent DVDs from being played based on their ratings or to have certain discs played with alternative scenes. You can set the Rating Level from ‘OFF’ to ‘U’ to a maximum ‘18R’.

1Press [SETUP].

2Use [œ/] to select ‘Parental Settings‘.

3Whilst ‘Parental Settings‘ is selected, press [] to select ‘Rating Level‘. The Password Input dialog will appear. Enter a 4-digit password using the [0-9] buttons.

4If this is the first time you have entered a password, you will be prompted to enter the password again to confirm it.

The initial password is ‘0000‘. You must enter this password before you can change the Parental Level.

Set the new password to something other than

'0000'.31
