Installing an Internal Speaker

The internal speaker is an optional device.

NOTICE: To prevent static damage to components inside your computer, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of your computer's electronic components. You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface on the computer chassis.

1.Perform the procedure Before Working on Your Computer.

CAUTION: Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

2.To mount the internal speaker, press the locking tab, position the speaker housing retention tabs under the grill retention tabs on the inside of the front panel, and release the locking tab.

3.Connect the speaker cable to the system board (see System Board Components).

4.Perform the procedure After Working on Your Computer.

5.Boot the computer and check for acceptable speaker performance.
