NOTE: Installing filler brackets over empty card-slot openings is necessary to maintain FCC compliance of the computer. The brackets help to keep foreign objects out of your computer and help direct airflow for cooling.

Your Dell™ computer provides the following connectors for PCI and PCI Express (PCIe) cards:

If you are replacing a card, uninstall the driver for the existing card. See the documentation that came with the card for instructions.

1.Perform the procedure Before Working on Your Computer.

2.Gently push the release tab on the card retention latch from the inside to pivot the latch open. The latch will remain in the open position.
