Location of left and right display grommets

6.Install hinge on each side, on top of display panel brackets. Secure each hinge to top cover with 3 M2.5 X 5-mm screws.

NOTE: Hinges are labeled R (right) and L (left) and must be installed on the correct side.

7.Install the bezel (see Installing the Display Bezel).

8.Install the display assembly (see Installing the Display Assembly).

NOTE: Ensure the display cable grommets are properly installed by following the instructions provided at the beginning of Installing the Display Assembly.

10.7Removing the Display Top Cover

CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, follow the safety instructions in the XFR D630 Product Information Guide and in the XFR D630 User’s Guide.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).

1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

2.Remove the display assembly (see Removing the Display Assembly).

NOTE: Ensure the display cable grommets were removed by following the grommet removal instructions provided in Removing the Display Assembly at step 13.

3.Remove the display bezel (see Removing the Display Bezel).

4.Remove the display panel (see Removing the Display Panel).

10.8Installing the Display Top Cover

NOTE: If replacing the display top cover, remove the replacement display top cover from its packaging. The new part will have a mylar covering. The antenna cable will be taped to the inside of the cover. Carefully remove the tape from the antenna cable.
