Setting the display characters (Character)

Use this procedure to set the MP3 ID3-Tag character code type played with the USB input.

• Upon purchase this is set to “Auto”.

1 From the “Network Setting” mode, select “Proxy” then press ENTER.

2 Select “Proxy” then press ENTER.

3 Select “On” then press ENTER.

¢Setting the proxy by address or name

4 Select “Proxy (Address)” or “Proxy (Name)” then press ENTER.

5 Select “Address” or “Name” according to the proxy type specified by the ISP, then press ENTER.

6 Use [NUMBER] (1 ~ 9, 0/10, +10) to input the address (numbers) or name (letters), then press ENTER once all the places have been input.

¢When the ISP has specified the port setting

7 Select “Port” then press ENTER.

8 Use [NUMBER] (1 ~ 9, 0/10) to input all the places, then press ENTER.

Making other settings (Others)

The following settings can be made:

HDD information (HDD Info)

The HDD’s usage conditions are displayed.

From the “Others” mode, select “HDD Info” then press

ENTER.Stored Tracks EEEEE:

The number of tracks recorded on the HDD is displayed.

Free Space EE %:

The HDD’s free space (%) is displayed.

EE indicates numbers.

1 From the “Others” mode, select “Character Set” then press ENTER.

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select.

Auto:

The character code type is selected automatically.

Latin:

ISO 8859-1 Latin-1 is selected.

Japanese:

Shift JIS is selected.

3 Press ENTER.
