Changing genre names

Function : HDD

1 Perform steps 1 to 3 under “Changing titles”.

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Genre Change”, then press ENTER.

3 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select the new genre name.

Select one of the 25 genre names.

4 Press ENTER to set the genre name you have chosen.

Creating playlists

Function : HDD

This feature can be used to organize the tracks stored on the HDD in 20 groups consisting of up to 256 tracks each.

The playlists only consist of data on the track order, etc. They are used to call out the tracks on the HDD in the specified order to play them.

Clearing a track from a playlist does not delete it from the HDD.

Adding tracks to playlists

1 In the stop mode, display the track you want to add

( page 22).

2 Press [EDIT].

[PROG] can be used to add the currently playing track to the playlist.

3 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Add to Playlist”, then press ENTER.

4 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select the track to be added to the playlist, then press ENTER.

The track is added to the end of the playlist, and “Complete” is displayed.

Clearing tracks from playlists

1 In the stop mode, select the track you want to clear

from the playlist, then press [EDIT] ( page 22).

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Track Clear”, then press ENTER.

3 Use <JOG DIAL> or [F G] to select “Y”, then press

ENTER.

The track is cleared from the playlist and “Complete” is displayed.

Changing the order of tracks on playlists

1 In the stop mode, select the track on the playlist whose order you want to change, then press [EDIT]

( page 22).

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Track Move”, then press ENTER.

3 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select the position to which you want to move the track, then press ENTER.

The order of the track on the playlist is changed and “Complete” is displayed.

Clearing playlists

In the stop mode, select the playlist you want to clear,

 

1 then press [EDIT] ( page 22).

 

Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “All Track Clear”,

 

2 then press ENTER.

 

Use <JOG DIAL> or [F G] to select “Y”, then press

 

3 ENTER.

 

• The playlist is cleared and “Complete” is displayed.

 

Clearing all the playlists

 

In the stop mode, press MENU SEARCH.

 

1 • The search menu is displayed.

 

Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Playlist”, then

 

2 press [EDIT].

 

Use <JOG DIAL> or [F G] to select “All Playlist

 

3 Clear”, then press ENTER.

 

• “All Clear?” is displayed.

 

Use <JOG DIAL> or [F G] to select “Y”, then press

 

4 ENTER.

Editing

• All the playlists are cleared and “Complete” is displayed.

 

NOTE:

The contents of the “Recently Played” and “Recently Stored” playlists are also cleared.
