Monitoring the tracks being recorded

Use this procedure to listen to the tracks being recorded. Stop playback of other sources.

¢When “Recording monitor auto playback setting”

( page 16) is set to “On”

A while after recording starts, the function switches to HDD and playback of the recorded track starts.

¢When “Recording monitor auto playback setting” ( page 16) is set to “Off”

1 Press MUSIC SEARCH.

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Store Monitor”, then press ENTER.

• The recorded track is displayed during recording.

3 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select the track to be monitored, then press <1/3>, [HDD 1/3] or ENTER.

• Recording monitoring starts.

With the monitor function, the sound actually recorded is played. Directly after recording starts, monitor playback only begins after enough data for monitoring has been recorded on the HDD.

The repeat and random play modes are canceled when monitor playback starts.

Deleting

Function : HDD

Use this procedure to delete tracks you no longer need.

NOTE:

Once tracks are deleted, they cannot be retrieved. Check carefully before deleting.

Deleting single tracks

In the stop mode, press MUSIC SEARCH.

• The search menu is displayed.

 

2 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Tracks”, then press ENTER.

3 Select the track to be deleted, then press [EDIT].

4 Use <JOG DIAL> or [D H] to select “Track Erase”, then press ENTER.

5 Use <JOG DIAL> or [F G] to select “Y”, then press

ENTER.

• “Complete” is displayed once the track is deleted.
