Digi One/PortServer TS 2/4’ s participation in the exchange of RIP updates can be configured on the set forwarding command. This command allows you to configure Digi One/PortServer TS 2/4

To neither receive nor propagate RIP updates (state=off), which means it must be configured for static routes (set route command) if it is to do any routing at all.

To receive RIP updates but not advertise its own routes using RIP (state=passive)

To both receive and pass RIP updates (state=active)
