8.3 Searching for programmes

As mentioned previously, your digital receiver is pre-pro- grammed for reception of the ASTRA and EUTELSAT satelli- tes. To receive new programmes, or programmes broadcast by other satellites, there are various options of conducting a programme search.

1. Automatic Search

Select this type of search to scan all satellites selected in the menu LNC Settings (Point 6.4 and 8.4) for programmes.

2. Satellite Search

Select this type of search to search only a specific satellite for programmes.

3. Transponder Search

Select this type of search to scan a specific transponder on a satelite.

4. Manual Search

Select this type of search if you want to search for a specific programme using programme-specific PID numbers.

When the search has been completed, a message will be displayed on your screen indicating how many programmes your digital receiver has found, how many of these are new, and how many programmes are encrypted. New programmes are stored in the Complete list, and can be transferred to the Favourites list as described in Point 8.1.
