8.4 Using the DP570 with Other Dolby Equipment

TheCat.No.549DolbyGPI/OControllerprovidesaquickmethodtochangedownmixand

compressionmodeswhilemonitoring.

8.5 Most Important Metadata

Wesuggestmonitoringthesehighest‐impactmetadataparametersinpriorityorder:

1. Programconfiguration:ThenumberoftypeofprogramsincludedintheDolbyE

stream.

2. Channelmode:Thenumberofaudiochannelsintheprogram;setitonceforeach

program.

3. Dialoguelevel:Comparethemeasuredvalue,showninyellownumbers,tothe

metadataparametervalue,showningreennumbers,periodicallyasyouwork.

4. Compressionmode:AnymodeotherthanNoneisacceptable.Noneisnot

recommendedasitmaycausepeaklimitinginaconsumerʹsdecoderduring

downmixing.Formoreinformationaboutcompressionmodes,seeSection4.8.
