Chapter 4

Configuring the Router
Before you can configuret heSpeedS tream®USB/Ethernet Router with SecureRouteTM,the
TCP/IPprotocol must beinstalledand configuredon allcomputers inyour network.If you need
to installTCP/IP,refer to yoursystem documentation or onlinehelp. To configure TCP/IP, refer
to Chapter3, “Configuring Net work Settings”in t his document .
After TCP/IP is installed and c onfigured on your netwo rk computers, you can co nfigure the
SpeedStream router from a Web browser, includingInternet Explorer or Netscape Navigator,
versions 4.0 or abo ve. The Web interface allows you t o configure settings for t he router, view
status, and access the many features of this unit.
Navigating the Web Interface
Using the Web interface, you can define system par ameters, manage and cont rol the router a nd its ports,
