Troubleshooting
Connection problems usually oc cur when the routers softwa re configuration contains incomplete
or incorrect informat ion. Diagnostic tools a re available to help ident ify and solve problems that
may occur with your rout er.

Using LEDs

STEP 1: Check the LEDs on the front panel
Certain hardwar e problems can be diagnosed and s olved by checking the LEDs. After
powering on the router, a ll LED indicator lights tu rn a solid green.
If the Power(PWR ) LED is off:
Check that the power cor d is firmly plugged into the back pa nel of the router
and the other end into an act ive AC wall or power-stri p outlet.
Check that the power swit ch is turned on.
Thefollowing table shows the possiblestates of the LEDs (lights) on the 5667 router/bridge.

Ethernet Link LED Status
The Ethernet LED indica tion on the front of the r outer/bridge indicates E thernet connectivity at
thehardware level.
No Link - Unlit
This indicates that thereis no Ethernet linkdetected. Check the Et hernet cable connection from
thePC tothe 5600 series device. If you have used the wrong cable, the eth LED will remain unlit
andsowilltheLEDontheEthernetcardinyourPC.
