2-2. Displaying Screen Correctly

Digital Input

When digital signals are input, i mages are displayed correctly based on the preset data of the mon itor.
When performing advance d adjustment, see “2-3 Color Adjustment” (page 18) and subsequent pages.

Analog Input

Attention
• Wait 30 minutes or m ore from monitor power on before starti ng adjustments.
(Allow the monitor to warm up for at least 30 mi nutes before making adjustments .)
The monitor screen adjustment is used to su ppress ickering of the screen or adjust screen position and
screen size correctly accordi ng to the PC to be used.
The auto adjustment function works when l ling/satisfying all of the following conditions
• When a signal is input into the monitor for the rst ti me or when the resolution or Vertical/
Horizontal Frequency not displayed before is set
• When signals with the vertical resolution over 480 are input
If the screen is not displayed correctly even afte r performing the auto adjustment, per form the screen
adjustments according to the proced ures on the following pages to use the monitor comfortably.

1Per form the auto adjustment.
To adjust ickering, screen posit ion, and screen size automatically [Auto Adjustment]
Procedure
1. Choose <Sc reen> from the Adjustment menu, and press .
2. Choose <A nalog Adjustment> from the <Screen> menu, and press .
3. Choose <Auto Adjustme nt>, and press .
The auto adjustment func tion works (the message “In Progress” appea rs) to correctly adjust the ickering , screen
position, and screen size cor rectly.
When the auto adjustment is com pleted, a message appears. Select “OK” to con rm the new settings or “Ca ncel”
to restore the previous sett ings, and press .
Attention
• Th is function works correct ly when an image is fully displayed over the Windows or Ma cintosh display area. It
does not work properly when an image is displayed on ly on a part of the screen (command prompt wi ndow, for
example) or when a black background (wallpaper, etc.) is in use.
• Th is function does not work correc tly with some graphics boards.
If the screen is not displayed correctly even afte r adjusting in step 1 above, perform the adjustment s
according to the procedures on the following page s. When the screen is displayed correctly, go to step
5 “To adjust color gradation automatically [Range]”.
