b) Remove deck support belt shield t o check mower deck drive belt condit ion.
c) Look under engine deck to check the transm ission dr ive and clutching belt
condition.
d) Inspect wheel drive belt conditions
e) Check the wheel drive idler arm s to be sure they pivot fr eely. Disassem ble,
clean and grease pivot bushing s if necessary.
5.1.12 Inspect PT O Clutching Belt Tension.
Service Interval: Check every 2 hrs. for fi rst 8 hrs. operat i on t hen check every
40 hrs. thereafter.
a) Stop engine and wait for all moving part s t o st op.
b) Engage PTO lever.
c) Look thr ough the round hole in the left rear cor ner of the eng ine deck to
inspect PTO clutching belt tension. Bolt on PTO engagement linkage
bellcrank and indicat or arm should align within 1/16” ( See figur e 14) . Refer
to section 5.2. 2 for adjust m ent.
5.1.13 Lubrication
Service Interval: Refer to Chart.
a) Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and remove key or spark plug
wire(s).
b) Lubricate fittings with one to two pumps of NGLI g r ade no. 2 multi-purpose gun
grease. Refer to t he following chart for f it t ing locations and lubrication schedule.
