FS-100 Settings

1.Set DV FORMAT to QUICKTIME PN or P2 PN.

2.Set SETUP-->VFR MODE to the appropriate base frame rate:

Input Stream VFR MODE

720/24P 24

720/25P 25

720/30P 30

While recording in VFR mode, VF is displayed on the HOME screen below the battery indicator. If the VF is not displayed there is a setup issue: please, review the settings shown above. For more information, see VFR MODE on page 66.

Preparing P2 File for NLE

Run the utility Organize P2 before using the recorded P2 file in a NLE. Refer to Organize P2 on page 76.

Run the Organize P2 Utility or the files are not usable by a NLE.

Recording Timecode in the File

Select EXT TC in the Setup menu. This option records the video camera timecode in the file. There are other timecode options available, refer to TIME CODE EXT, REC RUN, FREE RUN, REGEN on page 62.

Function buttons

The tasks discussed above are available for programming into the function buttons. For information on setting up function buttons, refer to the section, Functions Screen on page 71.
