Routine Maintenance
To ensure proper unit operation, the air ¿lters should be cleaned at least monthly, and more frequently if conditions warrant. The unit must be turned off before the ¿lters are cleaned.
To Remove, Wash and Replace Filter
Lower front panel (See Figure 2). Use handle on ¿lter to Àex ¿lter up and out of retainer. Remove ¿lter from unit (See Figure 3). Clean ¿lter monthly or more frequently if needed. Refer to accessories section for ¿lter options.
Coils & Chassis
NOTE: Do not use a caustic coil cleaning agent on coils or base pan. Use a biodegradable cleaning agent and degreaser. The use of harsh cleaning materials may lead to deterioration of the aluminum ¿ns or the coil end plates.

Decorative Front
The decorative front and discharge air grille may be cleaned with a mild soap or detergent. Do NOT use solvents or hydrocarbon based cleaners such as acetone, naphtha, gasoline, benzene, etc., to clean the decorative front or air discharge grilles.
Use a damp (not wet) cloth when cleaning the control area to prevent water from entering the unit, and possibly damaging the electronic control.
Fan Motor & Compressor
The fan motor & compressor are permanently lubricated, and require no additional lubrication.
