3.DSC OPERATION FOR NON-DISTRESS CASES

TCmd2 : NO INFO

PRESS ENT TO ACK.

3.To send your position manually, press the ENT key. The following pop-up menu appears.

NO ANSWER

4.Choose ANSWER by the CH knob and press the CALL key to send your position data. Then, the standby display appears.

To send no position data, choose NO ANSWER and press the ENT key twice to return to the standby display.

3.7Polling Call

Polling means confirming if own station is within communicating range with other station. This function only provides affirmative or negative response; it does not provide position information. Note that simultaneous polling to more than one station is not possible.

3.7.1Sending a polling call

1.Press the CALL key. The display changes from standby display to the COMPOSE MESSAGE screen and the CALL TYPE is displayed in reverse video.

2.Press the ENT key to open the call type list.
