Basil Chicken with Pasta

Preset 4, Chicken and Poultry

1pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes

1can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained 1/2 cup chopped onion

3cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup white wine

2tablespoons lemon juice

2teaspoons Italian seasoning 1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

8ounces penne or other pasta, cooked and drained

3tablespoons minced fresh basil

3tablespoons fat-free half and half 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

•Combine chicken, mushrooms, onion, garlic, wine, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in slow cooker.

•Cover and cook on Preset 4 Chicken and Poultry (Low 4 hours).

•Stir in pasta, basil, half and half and Parmesan cheese just before serving.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
