■ Shooting Close-Up Shots (Self-Portraits)

The Close-Up mode lets you take images of nearby subjects positioned approximately 55 to 110 cm away from the camera. This mode is ideal for self- portraiture using the lens cover (mirror).

■ Using the Zoom

You can enlarge your subject up to 200% using the zoom function (digital zoom).

● The digital zoom is effective only in the LCD monitor mode (image size: 2304

x 1728).

● The digital zoom cannot be used when another image size is selected, the LCD

Basic Operations

Distance selector switch

In the Still Image Capture mode, set the distance selector switch to Close-Up mode.

● When the digital zoom is used images are captured in 1152 x 864 size

(approximately 1 million pixels).

● Since the camera zooms in on the center of the image, the function for Setting

the Date Imprint P63 cannot be used.

Capturing Still

Close-Up mode：The image capture range is approximately 55 to 110 cm. Standard mode：The image capture range is approximately 110 cm or more.

●It can sometimes be difficult to bring the subjects into focus if they,re located outside the range of either Close-Up or Standard mode. It is recommended that you keep an appropriate distance from the subjects.

●If the Close-Up mode is set, the camera is locked to the Suppressed Flash

mode even if another flash mode has been selected.

● Capturing Images by Looking into the Viewfinder P29 in Close-Up mode will create a discrepancy between the image you see in the viewfinder and the image that is actually captured. In the Close-Up mode, Capturing Images by Viewing the LCD Monitor P28 is recommended.

●In the Close-Up mode you cannot set the scene P55 , Exposure(EV) P57

or ISO (capture sensitivity) P62 .

●The Close-Up mode is also effective in Video Capture mode.

	● Pressing again returns the zoom size to 100%.
		Range captured with the digital zoom

The digital zoom setting selected here is canceled (standard) once MENU or MODE is pressed or the power is turned off.
