HiSpeed Switch Troubleshooting Guide

Console Port

The console port has a DB-9 male connector used to connect a management terminal to the switch by means of a straight-through DB-9 to DB-9 standard serial port cable. Using a terminal, you can monitor the results of startup self-diagnostics, perform manual boot configuration and SNMP agent configuration, and customize your network using the supplied menus and screens.
