MAINTENANCE

n Remove the screws and cylinder cover as

described previously.

 

CHAIN BRAKE

CHAIN OIL

n Clean the cylinder fins.

 

CAP

n Lift the chain brake over the post.

 

 

n Lay the chain saw on its side with the bar and

 

 

chain on the ground.

 

 

n Remove the chain oil and fuel caps.

 

 

n Remove the three screws that hold the starter

 

 

housing in place.

 

 

n Lift off the starter cover and set aside.

 

 

n Replace chain oil and fuel caps to prevent con-

tamination during cleaning.

 

 

 

n Clean the flywheel fins.

 

STARTER

n Remove the chain oil and fuel caps.

 

COVER

 

 

n Replace the starter housing. Reinstall screws

 

 

and secure.

 

 

n Replace the chain oil and fuel caps.

 

 

n Replace the cylinder cover. Reinstall screws and

 

 

secure.

 

 

n Replace the chain brake on the post.

NOTE: Check to ensure that the air filter is in the

 

proper position before reinstalling the cylinder

NOTE:  If you notice a power loss with the gas-

 

powered tool, the exhaust port and muffler may
