Preface

Thank you for purchasing the Fujitsu PrintPartner 16DV/ADV Page Printer. The PrintPartner 16DV/ADV is a 16-ppm, 600-dpi, laser printer with triple interface consisting of Centronics parallel (type B connector), Centronics parallel (type C connector), and RS-232C serial (DB9 connector). It is compatible with the HP LaserJet 5 printers. The PrintPartner 16ADV or the PrintPartner 16DV with an option is also compatible with PostScript level 2 printers by using the PowerPage© Level 2 interpreter.

Options available for both 16DV and 16ADV are:

• 1-, 2-, 4-, 8-, l6-, and 32-megabyte memory expansion cards

• Interface expansion boards: LocalTalk and Ethernet C

•Paper trays (trays 1 and 2): A4, A5, letter, legal, and executive sizes

•Paper feeder: Base mechanism plus paper tray (tray 2)

•Duplex unit: Two-sided printing mechanism

Options available for 16DV only are:

•FPS card: PostScript level 2

•Multi-function feeder

The PrintPartner l6DV/ADV has a single user’s manual. This user’s manual provides a summary of everything for from non-technical users unfamiliar with page printers to highly experienced technical users.

The PrintPartner l6DV/ADV comes with a software set (a CD- ROM and a floppy disk) to supply you with the following items of printer control software.

•Printer Drivers for Windows 3.x, 95, NT 3.51, and NT 4.0, which provide the computer’s operating system with the programs that control this printer.
