Q:How do I clear all or portions of memory?

A:Cclears the calculator line. @cclears the data lists or variables accessible from the current menu. Erasing the entire contents of memory is covered in “Erasing Continuous Memory” on page 229.

Q:Why am I getting the wrong answer using the TVM menu?

A:Be sure to enter a value for all five TVM variables, even if a value is zero (as FV is for a loan without a balloon). Clearing the variables

before starting (@c ) accomplishes the same thing. Check the appropriate payment mode (mortgages and loans are typically End

mode calculations), and specify the number of payments per year ( ). Also check that all figures for money paid out are negative (the cash-flow sign convention).

Q:Can I access the TVM menu functions from the Solver?

A:No, but you can do the same functions by copying the appropriate financial formulas into the Solver. The formulas are given starting on page 168.

Q:Can I access the data stored in my CFLO and SUM lists from the Solver?

Q:How do I indicate multiplication in an equation typed into the Solver?
