5.Pull up on the green hard drive drivelock mechanism 1 for that drive and slide the drive from the drive bay 2.

6.Remove the four guide screws (two on each side) from the old drive and install them in the replacement drive.

✎Extra guide screws are provided on the chassis. Hard drives use 6-32 standard screws. Optical drives use M3 metric screws. The HP-supplied metric screws are black. The HP-supplied standard screws used on hard drives are silver.

7.Store the removed drive in anti-static packaging.

8.Install the new drive by sliding it into the appropriate drive bay on the front of the chassis. The drivelock automatically secures the drive in the bay.
