Example Programs The following examples show an application using the E8491A’s shared memory. In the program, 8,000 readings are taken with the HP E1410 multimeter. Because the E1410 has only enough memory to store 4,096 readings internally, all 8,000 readings are stored in shared memory and then transferred to the PC. Given the shared memory size of 128 kBytes and the E1410 storage format of eight bytes/reading, up to 16,000 readings can be stored.
