5 Determine DASD sizes for disks to receive service
In order to receive the service from the RSU Tape, you need to have adequate space available on the alternate APPLY and DELTA disks. The required sizes are identified in the Tivoli ADSM for VM documentation (5654A09A MEMO D) received in the previous step.
6 Setup the correct minidisk access order
vmfsetup 5654A09A {ADSM ADSMSFS}
Use ADSM for installing on minidisks or ADSMSFS for installing in Shared File System directories.
7 Merge the APPLY disks for Tivoli ADSM for VM
Next, you must prepare your system to receive the service from the RSU Tape. To do this, you must first clear the alternate APPLY disk for receipt of the service from the RSU Tape.
Enter the VMFMRDSK command to merge the alternate APPLY disk to the production APPLY disk. This will clear the alternate APPLY disk.

8 Obtain additional information about the Tivoli ADSM for VM service on the RSU and how it will affect your local modifications by invoking the VMFPSU command. This command creates an output file, appid PSUPLAN, which you can review. See VM/ESA Service Guide for an explanation of this file.
