Symptom-to-FRU error messages

Symptom or error	FRU	or		action,		in
	sequence
The CD-ROM does not	Make			sure		that:
work.	Ÿ		The computer power								is
			turned			on	and		a
			compact			disc		is		in	the
			CD-ROM		drive.
	Ÿ		The CD-ROM drive
			connector				is	firmly
			connected				to	the
			computer.
	Ÿ		The CD-ROM drive
			tray		is		firmly		closed.
	Ÿ		The device drivers are
			correctly				installed.
	If the CD-ROM drive in the
	docking station still does not
	work,			do	the		following:
	1.			Click	onStart .
	2.		Move the cursor to
			Programs				and
			ThinkPad			;	then		click
			on ThinkPad
			Configuration				.
	3.			Click	onDocking
			Station .
	4.		Make sure that you
			checked Enable					IDE
			device		in	the docking
			station .
			Note:		Do		not	use		IRQ
			11 and 15 for the PCI
			device			setting.
	5.		Click		onOK .
	If			the	problem			remains,
	replace				the		following			FRUs
	in	order:
	1.CD-ROM drive						.
	2.			System board.
