This button selects the Stereo listening mode.

Listening Mode [] [ ] buttons

These buttons select all the listening modes that can be used with the current input source.

Modes can be selected in the following order, depending on the input signal format:

Pure Audio Direct Mono Stereo Surround (e.g., PLIIx, Neo:6, Dolby D EX, DTS/DTS 96/24, DTS-ES, and so on) Onkyo original DSP

[Surrond] button

This button selects the Dolby Digital, Pro Logic IIx, Neo:6, DTS, and other listening modes.

[All ST] button

This button selects the All Ch Stereo listening mode.

[THX] button (DTR-6.5 only)

This button selects the THX listening modes.

[Stereo] button

This button selects the Stereo listening mode.

[Pure A] button

This button selects the Pure Audio listening mode. When this mode is selected, the Pure Audio indicator lights up, the AV receiver outputs no video signals, and its display is turned off.

[Direct] button

This button selects the Direct listening mode.

[ DSP] & [DSP ] buttons

These buttons select the Onkyo original DSP modes.
