On models other than the North American model, this is the RT/PTY/TP button, and it’s used with RDS (Radio Data System). See “Using RDS (not North American model)” on page 63.

KMemory button (78)

Used when storing or deleting radio presets.

LTuning Mode button (61)

Selects the Auto or Manual tuning mode for AM and FM radio.

MDisplay button (80)

Displays various information about the currently selected input source.

NSetup button

Opens and closes the onscreen setup menus, which are displayed on the connected TV.

OTuning, Preset, Arrow, and Enter buttons

When AM or FM is selected, the Tuning [ ] [ ] buttons are used for radio tuning, and the Preset

[ ] [ ] buttons are used to select radio presets (see page 78). With the onscreen setup menus, they work as arrow buttons and are used to select and set items. The Enter button is also used with the onscreen setup menus.

PMaster Volume control (60)

Sets the volume of the AV receiver to dB, –81.5 dB, –81.0 dB through +18.0 dB (relative dis- play).

The volume level can also be displayed as an abso- lute value. See “Volume Setup” on page 106.

Q Zone 2, Zone 3, Level [ ]/[ ], and Off buttons (115, 116)

The Zone 2 button is used when setting Zone 2.

The Zone 3 button is used when setting Zone 3.

The Level Up and Down [ ]/[ ] buttons are used when adjusting the volume level of Zone 2 or Zone 3.

The Off button is used to turn off Zone 2 or Zone 3.

RPhones jack (80)

This 1/4-inch phone jack is for connecting a stan- dard pair of stereo headphones for private listening.

SAudio Selector button (81)

Selects the audio input: analog, digital, HDMI, or multichannel.

TTone, Plus [+], and Minus [–] buttons (92, 116)

Used to adjust the tone (bass and treble), and the volume and balance of Zone 2 and Zone 3.

UInput selector buttons (60)

Select the following input sources: DVD, VCR/DVR, CBL/SAT, Game/TV, AUX 1, AUX 2, Tape, Tuner, CD, Phono.

VReturn button

Selects the previously displayed onscreen setup menu.

WSetup Mic (53)

The automatic speaker setup microphone connects here.

XAUX 2 Input (38, 89)

Used to connect a camcorder, game console, and so on. There are input jacks for optical digital audio, S-Video, composite video, and analog audio.
