If you connect a component to more than one audio input, such as a DVD player connected to analog, digital, multichannel, and HDMI inputs, you can use the [Audio Sel] button to select which audio input you want to use to listen to that component.

HDMI: Selects the assigned HDMI IN, and the HDMI indicator appears on the display. (The HDMI IN must already be assigned to the current input selector. See page 46.)

Auto: Selects the assigned COAX- IAL or OPTICAL DIGITAL IN, and the DIGITAL indica- tor appears on the display.

(The DIGITAL IN must already be assigned to the current input selector. See page 50.) If there is no digital signal, the analog input is used instead.

Multich:Selects the multichannel input, and the ANALOG indi- cator appears on the display. (The multichannel input must already be assigned to the current input selector. See page 52.)

Analog: Selects the analog input, and the ANALOG indicator appears on the display.

You can also use the [Audio Selector] button on the AV receiver.

Normally, the AV receiver detects the format of digital input signals automatically. However, if you experience either of the following issues when playing PCM or DTS sources, you can specify the signal format manually.

• If the beginnings of tracks from a PCM source are cut off, try the PCM setting.

• If noise is produced when fast forwarding or rewind- ing a DTS CD, try the DTS setting.
